DIGIVESTASI - PT Pertamina Patra Niaga implemented price adjustments for 5.5 kg and 12 kg liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) starting Wednesday (November 22, 2023). Secretary General of Pertamina Patra Niaga Irto Ginting said the price adjustment follows the average price trend since the announcement of the November 2023 Aramco Contract Price (CPA) and the rupee exchange rate.
During this period, the unit price of rupiah/kg (Rp/kg) decreased due to the weakening of the US dollar against the rupiah. Recognizing this trend, Pertamina Patra Niaga decided to review and adjust the prices of all non-subsidized LPG products, particularly all Bright Gas and LPG variants, with effect from 22 November 2023.
December 5.5 kg and 12 kg LPG prices
Irto reported that the price of 5.5 kg and 12 kg LPG in December 2023 still refers to the adjustment made by Pertamina Patra Niaga in November 2023. "The price is still the same as last week, Thursday (November 30/ 2023). According to him, the price of 5.5 kg and 12 kg LPG after being adjusted has decreased. It is known that the price of 5.5 kg LPG was initially pegged at Rp90,000/bottle, then reduced by Rp6,000/bottle.
Price adjustments also occurred in 12 kg LPG, which was originally priced at Rp 192,000 / bottle, down by Rp 12,000 / bottle. Irto said, the price applies to the Java Island area at the official Pertamina dealer distributor level. Meanwhile, the price per cylinder for agents in other regions will be adjusted to the price on Java Island. The new price is a general provision of LPG prices in accordance with Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Regulation Number 28 of 2021 concerning the Supply and Distribution of Liquefied Petroleum Gas, he explained.
