The Indonesia Composite Index (IHSG) is projected to move sideways within the 6,000–6,300 range in today’s trading session, Tuesday (June 2, 2026), after weathering the pressure stemming from the MSCI index rebalancing sentiment. According to data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), the IHSG closed 0.05% lower at 6,127.38 on Friday (May 29, 2026). The decline occurred after the benchmark had previously reached an intraday high of 6,230. Analysts at Phintraco Sekuritas noted that the correction recorded at the end of last week was not as severe as market participants had initially feared.
Although several stocks removed from the MSCI index experienced selling pressure, a number of other shares managed to rebound as the market had anticipated the impact of the rebalancing process well in advance. “From a technical perspective, the Stochastic RSI indicator continues its reversal movement toward the pivot area, while the negative MACD histogram is steadily narrowing. As a result, the IHSG is expected to trade sideways within the 6,000–6,300 range during the coming week,” Phintraco Sekuritas stated.
Meanwhile, MNC Sekuritas reported that the mild correction recorded by the IHSG at the end of last week was accompanied by buying activity. Throughout the previous week, the index declined by 0.56%, while selling volume generally showed a downward trend.
Technically, the index is currently estimated to remain within wave v of wave A of wave (2) under the black labeling structure. “The next correction phase is expected to test the 5,899 level, which also serves as a support area,” MNC Sekuritas wrote.
For today’s trading session, the IHSG is projected to have support levels at 5,996 and 5,899, while resistance levels are estimated at 6,318 and 6,459.
