US Reportedly Ready to Give $30 Billion for Iran’s Uranium - Trump Reacts Strongly

U.S. President Donald Trump is reportedly exploring the possibility of offering economic incentives to Iran in exchange for halting its recent uranium enrichment activities.

According to CNBC International, Sunday (June 29, 2025), the provisional proposal would also allow Iran to receive financial aid from regional countries to support the development of a civilian nuclear energy program. This initiative could provide Tehran with access to as much as US$30 billion.

This proposal is one of several ideas currently being considered by the Trump administration.

If approved, such a deal would represent a major shift in Trump’s previous policy stance. In 2018, Trump withdrew the United States from the nuclear agreement established during the Obama administration, arguing that lifting sanctions and releasing Iranian assets only enabled the regime to fund its harmful activities.

However, it remains unclear whether the financial proposal or any form of negotiations between the U.S. and Iran will move forward.

In a Truth Social post on Friday night, Trump denied involvement in the idea, stating, “I’ve never heard of this ridiculous plan, and it’s just another HOAX pushed by the fake news,” Trump wrote, as quoted on Sunday (June 29, 2025).

Earlier that same day, Trump threatened to call off any potential easing of sanctions on Iran after Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei declared victory in the conflict with Israel and downplayed the significance of American strikes on Iran’s nuclear sites.

“Why would the so-called ‘Supreme Leader’, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, from war-torn Iran, blatantly and foolishly claim he won the war against Israel, when he knows very well that his statement is a lie?” Trump posted on Truth Social.

Also on Friday, Trump insisted that Iran still desires to meet with him to discuss possible sanction relief. “They do want to meet with me, and we’re going to do it quickly. We’ll do it fast,” Trump told reporters during a White House meeting with the foreign ministers of the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Republic of Rwanda.

“Don’t you think we’ve got sanctions in place so they can’t do anything? Of course, they want to meet me. I mean, they’re not stupid,” Trump added.
