Domestic Investors Dominate the Market, Foreign Funds Quietly Target These Stocks

Foreign investors once again recorded net buying activity in the Indonesian stock market during the period of December 22–24, 2025. Based on trading data, total foreign net buy reached Rp3.07 trillion, with foreign purchases amounting to Rp17.29 trillion and foreign sales totaling Rp14.22 trillion.

 

Foreign accumulation was mainly concentrated in energy, mining, consumer goods, and financial sector stocks, despite market corrections ahead of the year-end close.

 

PT Impack Pratama Industri Tbk (IMPC) emerged as the stock with the largest foreign net buy, amounting to Rp2.69 trillion. However, most of these transactions were conducted through the negotiated market.

 

A similar pattern was seen in PT Capital Financial Indonesia Tbk (CASA), which ranked second in terms of foreign net buying, driven largely by sizable negotiated-market transactions.

Below is the list of the ten stocks with the highest foreign net buy over the past week:

  2. PT Capital Financial Indonesia Tbk (CASA) – Rp1.35 trillion

  3. PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) – Rp714.2 billion

  4. PT Multipolar Technology Tbk (MLPT) – Rp294 billion

  5. PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO) – Rp224.2 billion

  6. PT Abadi Lestari Indonesia Tbk (RLCO) – Rp148.7 billion

  7. PT Merdeka Gold Resources Tbk (EMAS) – Rp147.5 billion

  8. PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR) – Rp145.1 billion

  9. PT Timah Tbk (TINS) – Rp90 billion

  10. PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) – Rp71.5 billion

 

Meanwhile, the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) declined by 71.64 points, or 0.83%, to close at 8,537.91 during the shortened trading week. Average daily trading value also dropped sharply by 30.91% compared to the previous week, settling at Rp23.69 trillion.

 

Ahead of the year-end holidays, domestic investors increasingly took control of market activity. The proportion of foreign investors fell to 21%, down significantly from the previous level of 42%.
