Xiaomi Prepares to Launch Smart Glasses in Indonesia: Features and Price Leak

Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, revealed that Vietnam plans to invest in developing an electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem in Indonesia. This initiative was agreed upon following a bilateral meeting between President Prabowo Subianto and the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, To Lam.
According to Airlangga, Vietnam intends to build 100,000 Public EV Charging Stations (SPKLU) across Indonesia to support the country’s EV ecosystem.
"One of Vietnam’s investments is to promote its Vinfast electric vehicles, and they have already planned an EV charging ecosystem with 100,000 stations," Airlangga stated after a limited meeting with President Prabowo Subianto at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, on Monday (March 10, 2025).
Additionally, Vietnamese automaker Vinfast is set to establish a manufacturing plant in Indonesia. Airlangga expressed hope that Vinfast's entry into the Indonesian market would accelerate the growth of the local EV industry.
"They are planning to build a factory, and the location has been determined, but I don’t remember the exact details," he added.
Currently, PLN and its partners operate 3,529 EV charging stations across 2,400 locations in Indonesia. Of these, 2,448 units are in Java, 431 in Sumatra, and the rest are spread across various regions. PLN has also deployed 12 mobile EV charging units along major holiday travel routes to meet emergency demands.
On Monday afternoon (March 10, 2025), Indonesia and Vietnam signed three bilateral cooperation agreements during a meeting between President Prabowo Subianto and General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, To Lam, at the State Palace.
President Prabowo Subianto emphasized both countries' commitment to strengthening their economic partnership.
"We aim to enhance cooperation and, if possible, integrate our economies. We have agreed to target $18 billion in bilateral trade by 2028," Prabowo said after the meeting.
As part of the agreement, three cooperation documents were signed, covering:
President Prabowo highlighted that economic cooperation remains a top priority for both nations. He also welcomed Vietnam’s investments in Indonesia, particularly in the automotive, agriculture, and food security sectors.
"Vietnam’s investments in Indonesia across various sectors will benefit both countries. Additionally, this partnership could contribute to global food security," Prabowo concluded.
