Amid increasingly complex global dynamics, the government continues to strive to sustain economic growth, control inflation, enhance competitiveness, and promote structural transformation to ensure Indonesia's economy remains resilient.

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, stated that the spirit of maintaining stability is also embodied in the celebration of the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia and the 59th Anniversary of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs.

"As the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, we operate amidst various complex challenges, including efforts to sustain growth and control inflation, enhance competitiveness, create employment, strengthen economic cooperation, and drive digital transformation. All of these require swift and well-integrated responses," he explained in a written statement, Saturday (August 23, 2025).

Airlangga emphasized that over the past 59 years, the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs has played a pivotal role in shaping a responsive and adaptive national economy.

Recent economic performance shows a positive trend, with Q2-2025 economic growth recorded at 5.12%, supported by household consumption growth of 4.97%, investment growth of 6.99%, and export growth of 10.67%. Investment realization in the first semester of 2025 reached IDR 942 trillion, creating 1.2 million jobs.

Furthermore, Indonesia has strengthened its position through economic diplomacy. Membership in BRICS+, completion of IEU-CEPA negotiations, and deepened partnerships with the United States and other strategic allies mark critical steps in expanding global market access, including through the CPTPP framework.

These achievements highlight that despite rising global protectionism, Indonesia continues to expand avenues for cooperation. The energy sector has also shown positive results, thanks to the collective efforts of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs. Airlangga expressed his appreciation to all staff while stressing the importance of maintaining synergy going forward.

"All of these successes are the result of joint contributions from every unit. The positive impact, God willing, will return to us all. Although challenges ahead remain significant, I hope this office will continue to uphold solidarity and deliver its best work for the progress of our nation’s economy," Airlangga stated.
