The Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) managed to rebound after experiencing a notable correction throughout the previous week. At the close of trading on Monday (May 4, 2026), the index posted a slight gain of 0.22% to reach 6,971.95.
Trading activity was relatively active, with total transaction value reaching Rp21.17 trillion, involving approximately 60.32 billion shares traded across 2.44 million transactions. A total of 327 stocks advanced, 357 declined, and 134 remained unchanged.
Meanwhile, foreign investors recorded substantial net buying of Rp1.92 trillion across all markets and Rp2.71 trillion in the negotiated and cash markets. However, they also posted net selling of Rp791.28 billion in the negotiated and cash markets.
