As of August 2023, approximately 22.81 million Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia have undergone digitalization and joined online platforms. This achievement is approaching the government's target of having 30 million MSMEs integrated into the digital ecosystem by 2024. Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs, Teten Masduki, emphasizes the importance of digital platforms with a local focus for MSMEs, especially those of micro-scale.

Digitalization of MSMEs is one of the eight priority programs of the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs in 2023. Other accomplishments include disbursing Rp 149.9 trillion in people's business credit (KUR), registering 9.08 million MSMEs based on their names and addresses, and constructing a red palm oil factory in North Sumatra.

Furthermore, the Ministry also allocated a revolving fund of Rp 1.03 trillion for cooperatives and MSMEs, expanded partnerships between MSMEs and state-owned and private enterprises, initiated a pilot project for subsidized solar energy for fishermen, and improved the efficiency of government procurement of goods and services.

The Agency for the Management of Revolving Funds for Cooperatives, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (LPDB-KUMKM) is actively supporting MSMEs to enter the digital sector by providing guidance from the inception of business ideas to achieving significant economic and social impacts. They have opened recruitment for potential organizers of the LPDB-KUMKM Entrepreneur Incubator in 2024, using a digital approach.

The goal of this recruitment is to promote the growth of entrepreneurs, MSMEs, and startups in Indonesia. LPDB-KUMKM is committed to facilitating access to affordable and sustainable financing and providing the necessary support to develop the businesses of program participants.
