DHL Express, as one of the logistics companies, has announced a price adjustment that will take effect from January 1, 2024. The price adjustment in Indonesia will increase by 4.9 percent. Some other services and additional costs will also be adjusted. According to Senior Technical Advisor DHL Express Indonesia, Ahmad Mohamad, the global macroeconomic situation has started to stabilize, although there is still uncertainty. DHL Express makes annual price adjustments by considering inflation, changes in currency exchange rates, and other administrative costs related to regulatory and security measures. These measures are regularly updated by national and international authorities in more than 220 countries and all regions where DHL Express operates. Price adjustments will vary by country, depending on the local situation.

In addition to DHL Express, several logistics industry players predict that a 6-10 percent increase in basic tariffs will occur in 2024. This is due to the impact of inflation and the dominance of operators in business-to-business (B2B) and, to a lesser extent, business-to-consumer (B2C) businesses. Logistics companies will predict tariff increases driven by inflation of around 5.9-6.9 percent.
