The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) extends its full support to the initiatives of the BUMN Digital Forum (Fordigi) in collaboration with Microsoft Indonesia to advance the digital and information technology (IT) sector within the BUMN. Tedi Bharata, Deputy for Human Resource Management, Technology, and Information of the Ministry of BUMN, revealed that this initiative is an integral part of the effort to enhance the performance of BUMN.

According to Tedi, the importance of collaboration with Microsoft is to strengthen and accelerate the digital transformation of BUMN in the IT sector. He also highlights that this collaboration is far more efficient than if each SOE were to work separately with Microsoft. He believes that using Microsoft licenses at a uniform price for all BUMN will create opportunities for efficiency, benefiting smaller companies that may not have previously had access.

Tedi further adds that this collaboration will enable BUMN to use Microsoft Office at a more cost-effective rate while reducing the potential use of illegal software. He also emphasizes the importance of cooperation between BUMN and strategic partners in efforts to improve company performance, portraying BUMN as a large family working together.

In addition to these benefits, Tedi also underscores the enhancement of cybersecurity resulting from this collaboration. He asserts that cyber threats are becoming increasingly diverse and frequent, necessitating serious efforts to combat them.

Dharma Simorangkir, President Director of Microsoft Indonesia, welcomes this collaboration and views it as part of an effort to enhance the inclusivity of digital technology in Indonesia. He emphasizes the importance of affordable access to technology to enable BUMN to innovate quickly, noting that this collaboration will encompass productivity, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence.
