The price of gold bullion from PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (Antam/ANTM) suffered another sharp drop on Tuesday morning, May 13, 2025. The value fell steeply by Rp21,000, bringing the gold price down to Rp1,884,000 per gram.

Based on monitoring from the official Logam Mulia website, Antam’s gold bullion price had previously plunged by Rp23,000 to Rp1,905,000 per gram on Monday, May 12, 2025.

The all-time high (ATH) price of Antam gold was recorded at Rp2,039,000 per gram, which occurred on April 22, 2025.

Meanwhile, the buyback price — the price Antam pays to repurchase gold bullion — also experienced a significant decline on Tuesday morning (May 13, 2025), dropping by Rp22,000 to a level of Rp1,732,000 per gram.

Sales transactions for gold bullion are subject to tax deductions in accordance with Ministry of Finance Regulation (PMK) No. 34/PMK.10/2017.

For individuals who sell gold bullion back to Antam in amounts exceeding Rp10 million, an Income Tax (PPh) Article 22 of 1.5% applies if the seller has a Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP), and 3% if they do not. The PPh 22 tax is directly deducted from the total buyback transaction amount.

• 1 gram: Rp1,884,000

• 2 grams: Rp3,708,000

• 3 grams: Rp5,537,000

• 10 grams: Rp18,335,000

• 25 grams: Rp45,712,000

• 50 grams: Rp91,345,000

• 100 grams: Rp182,612,000

• 250 grams: Rp456,265,000

• 500 grams: Rp912,320,000

• 1,000 grams: Rp1,824,600,000

Under the same regulation (PMK No. 34/PMK.10/2017), gold bullion purchases are also subject to Income Tax Article 22, which amounts to 0.45% for buyers who have a NPWP and 0.9% for those without. Every gold purchase is accompanied by an official tax withholding slip for PPh 22.
