DIGIVESTASI - In the face of financial market uncertainty, many investors seek guidance, ideas, and recommendations from analysts, researchers, and other successful investors.
One investor who frequently attracts attention is Robert Kiyosaki, the author of the famous book Rich Dad Poor Dad. Kiyosaki is known for his strong criticism of fiat currencies, which he calls ‘fake money.’
Kiyosaki's Investment Approach: Gold, Silver, Crypto, and Real Estate
As a financial educator, Kiyosaki is well-known as a strong advocate for precious metals, particularly gold and silver, which he views as safer stores of value compared to fiat currencies. Additionally, Kiyosaki has invested in cryptocurrencies and real estate, which he considers main pathways to wealth.
However, despite his frequent popularity, Kiyosaki has often been a subject of controversy. He is known as a market doomsayer who frequently predicts market crashes, though the accuracy of his predictions is often questioned. Furthermore, Kiyosaki’s investment style, which involves large amounts of debt and the bankruptcy of companies he has previously run, has also attracted criticism.
Nevertheless, despite the often provocative nature of his views, his results often support his claims. In 2024, Kiyosaki’s investment portfolio recorded a return of 76.03%, far surpassing the S&P 500 Index, which saw a gain of only 27.35% over the same period.
Kiyosaki Recommends Buying Silver Now: Silver Price Predictions
On January 17, 2025, Kiyosaki once again shared his thoughts on silver. In a post on the social media platform X, he mentioned that silver prices would soon skyrocket, citing key factors such as low supply and high demand that are expected to drive silver prices up.
According to data from The Silver Institute, silver supply decreased by 1% in 2024, while demand rose by 2%. Although this change seems small, Kiyosaki emphasized that the 3% imbalance between supply and demand has a significant impact on the silver market, which often operates with narrow margins.
Silver Price Movements: Potential and Industrial Demand
Silver prices reached a peak on October 28, 2024, before eventually decreasing. On October 22, 2024, the iShares Silver Trust ETF (NYSE: SLV) recorded its highest price of US$31.4. However, by January 17, 2025, the price of SLV dropped to US$28.04, marking a decline of 10.7%.
Despite this, the price of silver saw an increase of almost 35% over the past year, even surpassing gold price gains.
This has drawn more attention from investors, whether they view silver as a speculative asset or are attracted to the increasing industrial demand, especially in emerging countries focusing on electronics and renewable energy.
Moreover, the demand for silver in the military sector continues to rise, further adding to the appeal of this precious metal.
