The Daya Anagata Nusantara Investment Authority (BPI Danantara) has secured a US$ 10 billion investment, equivalent to around IDR 162 trillion, from Saudi Arabia’s largest energy company, ACWA Power. This milestone was marked by the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between ACWA Power’s Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Raad Al Saady, and Danantara’s CEO, Rosan Roeslani.
"Danantara and ACWA Power, the biggest energy company in Saudi Arabia, have signed a strategic partnership MoU worth a total of US$ 10 billion, or approximately IDR 162 trillion," wrote Rosan in a post on his personal Instagram account @rosanroeslani on Wednesday, July 2, 2025.
Rosan explained that the funding is aimed at supporting the expansion of renewable energy utilities in Indonesia. He emphasized that this agreement would strengthen the strategic partnership between both nations, promote innovation and investment in the energy sector, and contribute to achieving the 2060 net zero emissions target.
“The signing was conducted together with Mr. Raad Al Saady, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, to help advance Indonesia’s renewable energy infrastructure. This collaboration deepens the strategic ties between our countries, boosts innovation and investment in the energy sector, and aligns with the goal of reaching net zero emissions by 2060,” Rosan elaborated.
Previously, Rosan stated that since being launched by President Prabowo at the end of February 2025, Danantara has successfully entered into several investment agreements with various countries.
These partnerships include countries such as Qatar, Russia, China, and Australia, with the total investment value reaching US$ 7 billion, or around IDR 112.7 trillion.
Rosan further noted that Danantara’s presence is expected to be a key driver in accelerating Indonesia’s economic growth, aiming for an 8% growth rate in accordance with President Prabowo Subianto’s economic vision.
"With Danantara’s presence, God willing, we will be able to accelerate Indonesia’s economic development and push for economic growth to reach 8%, in line with the directive of the President," Rosan stated in his remarks.
