During market volatility following MSCI's consultation announcement, data cited by Investor Daily showed BBCA recording IDR 4.36 trillion in overall net buying during October 16–23, 2026, while foreign investors posted IDR 5.22 trillion in net selling of the same stock. BBRI and TLKM also recorded overall net buying of IDR 1.33 trillion and IDR 1.31 trillion, respectively, while foreign transactions in both were still net sales.
Investor Daily cited data from the Stockbit app. The gap between total transactions and foreign flows suggests purchases by non-foreign investor groups, but it does not identify every buyer or their motives. Flow data also cannot show that a stock is undervalued or certain to recover.
The JCI fell sharply on October 16 after MSCI opened its consultation and then partially rebounded the following week. These moves illustrate volatility, not a guarantee of what comes next.
Do not copy a large-looking transaction without considering price, valuation, liquidity, company conditions, and time horizon. Trading flows are one piece of information; read them alongside financial statements, issuer disclosures, and your own risk profile.
