Foreign investors once again recorded massive net selling, reaching a total of IDR 1.33 trillion across all markets on Thursday (January 22, 2026). Of this amount, IDR 964.14 billion came from the regular market, while IDR 363.20 billion was booked in the negotiated and cash markets.

Large-cap banking stocks were under heavy selling pressure. Bank Central Asia (BBCA) emerged as the stock with the largest net foreign sell, amounting to IDR 883.22 billion.

However, several stocks attracted strong foreign buying interest, which temporarily pushed the index higher. In the previous trading session, foreign demand was mainly concentrated in commodity-related stocks.

Alamtri Resources (ADRO) posted the highest net foreign buy at IDR 157.39 billion, followed by United Tractors (UNTR) with IDR 138.35 billion and Telkom Indonesia (TLKM) at IDR 85.23 billion.

Other mining companies such as Bumi Resources Minerals (BRMS), Amman Mineral Internasional (AMMN), and Darma Henwa (DEWA) also made the list of stocks accumulated by foreign investors.

According to Stockbit data, these stocks ranked among the top ten in terms of net foreign buying on Thursday’s trading session.

Meanwhile, the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) reversed course toward the close, ending down 0.2% or 18.15 points at 8,992.18.

Earlier in the day, the index had climbed more than 1% and moved within a range of 8,992.13 to 9,109.71.

Overall, 360 stocks advanced, 353 declined, and 245 remained unchanged. Total trading value reached IDR 37.94 trillion, with 68.58 billion shares exchanged across 3.99 million transactions.
