Fired OpenAI CEO, Sam Altman, Considers Comeback or Launching New Venture

Sam Altman, recently ousted CEO of OpenAI, is contemplating a return to the company or venturing into a new AI startup. Investors, including Microsoft, are in talks to reinstate him as CEO to prevent a talent exodus. Employees are concerned that Altman's dismissal may impact the $86 billion stock sale. Some are even considering resigning if Altman is not rehired. Greg Brockman, former President of OpenAI, may also join any new initiative led by Altman.

OpenAI, founded by Elon Musk, gained global attention with ChatGPT, the world's fastest AI generative application. Following ChatGPT's launch, many countries began adopting AI regulations. Several OpenAI researchers, including Szymon Sidor, left the company after the CEO change. Since September, Altman and Jony Ive from Apple have been discussing the creation of new AI hardware. Altman's termination is rumored to be due to "communication issues," according to COO Brad Lightcap. Discussions regarding Altman's potential return as CEO are still ongoing.
