Platform X, formerly known as Twitter, has paid around IDR 309 billion to content creators in recent months. X CEO Linda Yaccarino revealed the platform's significant investment in its creator community. This initiative allows verified users with more than 500 followers to earn a share of the ad revenue generated from their tweet replies, provided they have accumulated more than 5 million tweet views in the last three months.

The initial payment in July, amounting to around US$5 million, included the accumulation of revenue from February onwards. The exponential increase in payments indicates the number of content creators joining the program or a surge in ad views on the platform.

The transformation of X under Elon Musk's ownership has been quite dramatic. Formerly a microblogging service, it has now evolved into an "Everything App." The revenue-sharing model not only benefits content creators but also makes the platform attractive to advertisers. Advertisers now have the opportunity to reach a wider audience through engaging content.

To participate in this program, X users must subscribe to Premium or Verified Organizations, which have a minimum of 500 followers and 5 million organic views on their posts in the last three months. However, X prohibits content related to sexual content, violence, criminal activity, gambling, drugs, alcohol, and fraud schemes. In addition, copyrighted content that does not belong to the creator cannot be monetized, ensuring that ethical and legal standards are upheld.
