DIGIVESTASI - The year 2024 has opened with countless attacks, both military and verbal, from countries against each other.

In the chaos, countries are now entangled in conflicts that erode peace and stability. The ongoing wars have inflicted deep social, economic and political wounds, posing great challenges to recovery and peace efforts.

Well, including Palestine (Hamas) and Israel, here is a list of countries that are also at war:

1. Israel-Palestine (Hamas)
2. Russia-Ukraine
3. USA and UK - Yemen
4. North Korea - South Korea
5. Iraq and Syria Iran

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched ballistic missiles at what it claimed was an Israeli Mossad "spy base" in Iraq's Kurdish region and struck suspected ISIS-affiliated targets in northern Syria, saying they were protecting their country's security and fighting terrorism.

Eight explosions were heard on Tuesday morning in Erbil, the capital of Iraq's semi-autonomous Kurdish region, Al Jazeera reported.

"Ballistic missiles were used to destroy spy centers and meetings of anti-Iran terrorist groups in the region," the IRGC said, adding that it fired 11 missiles. . "This headquarters has been a center for developing espionage activities and planning terrorist acts in the region and in Iran," the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said in a statement.

At least four civilians were killed and six others injured in the attack, according to a statement released Tuesday morning by the Kurdistan Regional Security Council. They believe these targets are linked to two recent bombings in the city of Kerman, on the anniversary of the assassination of Quds Force commander Qasem Soleimani, which killed and injured many people.

According to a Foreign Ministry press release, the Government of Iraq condemned what it called Iran's "aggression" against Erbil, which caused civilian casualties in residential areas, and called it a violation of the country's sovereignty and the security of its people. The Iraqi government said it would consider various measures, including filing a complaint with the UN Security Council.

The IRGC claimed to have attacked the headquarters of Israel's Mossad intelligence agency in Erbil. "We guarantee our country that the offensive operations of the Revolutionary Guards will continue until the last drop of blood of the martyrs is avenged," he said. Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdish region, condemned the Erbil attack as "a crime against the Kurdish people."
