Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut Binsar Panjaitan, mentioned the Jakarta-Surabaya High-Speed Train project, which will soon be resumed. He affirmed that President Joko Widodo has also committed and made an agreement with China to proceed with the project.

This commitment is also marked by an agreement that has been reached with China. Luhut even mentioned that the loan interest offered by the Chinese is considered quite affordable, much cheaper than what other countries offer.

"President Jokowi wants the Jakarta-Surabaya high-speed train project to continue. I heard that the agreement with China has been finalized, and the interest rate is even cheaper than what other countries offer," he stated in a video posted on his personal Instagram account, Luhut B Panjaitan, as quoted on Sunday (29/10).

Furthermore, the high-speed train technology in Indonesia has already reached a satisfactory level. This is evident from the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed train, which has been in operation for some time now.

"The main key was the land clearance issue, which was previously unclear. Now, with the experience we have, we no longer face any problems," said Luhut.

During this occasion, Luhut also admitted that he frequently communicates with his colleagues and coworkers in the cabinet. He does so while undergoing intensive medical treatment and care in Singapore.

Luhut is currently on leave for his medical treatment in Singapore due to a previous decline in his health.

"Yes, I communicate a lot with my fellow ministers. They also come to me, saying that we need Luhut for this and that, although I believe it's not entirely accurate because it's a team effort," he said.

Luhut also emphasized that he will never step down from his current position. He will remain loyal and ready to assist President Jokowi until Jokowi no longer requires his help.
