Based on CNBC Indonesia’s observations, foreign investors were actively selling shares in the mining, energy, and banking sectors. This trend reflects a continued risk-off stance among global investors amid ongoing geopolitical uncertainties.
Which stocks were heavily sold by foreign investors, triggering a sharp correction in the Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) earlier in the week? According to Stockbit data, the following are the ten stocks with the largest net foreign selling on Monday’s session:
PT Bumi Resources Tbk. (BUMI) – Rp437.90 billion
PT Rukun Raharja Tbk. (RAJA) – Rp285.97 billion
PT Bank Central Asia Tbk. (BBCA) – Rp279.64 billion
PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk. (AMMN) – Rp86.76 billion

PT Barito Pacific Tbk. (BRPT) – Rp57.33 billion
PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk. (BMRI) – Rp41.93 billion
Despite the heavy selling pressure, the IHSG managed to pare its losses toward the end of the trading session. The index closed down 52 points, or 0.58%, at 8,884.72.
Earlier in the second session at around 2:20 p.m. WIB, the IHSG had plunged by as much as 2.47%. However, the index quickly recovered, trimming the decline to below 1% shortly afterward.
Overall, 279 stocks ended in negative territory, 435 stocks advanced, and 97 stocks were unchanged. Trading activity was robust, with total transaction value reaching Rp40.10 trillion, involving 74.41 billion shares across 5.07 million transactions.
Most market sectors closed lower, with infrastructure and basic materials recording the steepest declines. Meanwhile, only the industrial and healthcare sectors managed to post gains during the session.
