Xiaomi Indonesia is preparing to introduce two new wearable devices, one of which is the Mijia Smart Audio Glasses, a pair of smart glasses that doubles as an audio device. According to Xiaomi Indonesia’s Marketing Director, Andi Renreng, the product adopts an open-ear audio concept combined with a modern eyewear design, allowing users to stay aware of their surroundings without relying on conventional earphones.
He explained that the Mijia Smart Audio Glasses are designed to support daily activities, from focused work to leisure time, by offering a practical and seamless user experience. Based on information from Xiaomi Global, the glasses feature speakers integrated directly into the frame and are equipped with four microphones supported by advanced noise-reduction algorithms. This setup enables clearer voice calls and allows audio recording directly from the glasses. Users can start recording by pressing and holding the touch-sensitive area on the temple, while an LED indicator lights up to signal that recording is in progress, ensuring transparency and privacy.
In terms of connectivity, the device supports Bluetooth 5.4 for pairing with both Android and iOS devices and can connect to two devices simultaneously. Google Fast Pair is also included for faster and smoother pairing. Through the Xiaomi Glasses app, users can customize touch controls, activate voice assistants, receive real-time notifications, and manage audio recordings across different usage scenarios. Xiaomi claims the battery can last up to 13 hours of continuous audio playback, around 9 hours for voice calls, and up to 12 days in standby mode.
The glasses support 2C magnetic fast charging, with a 10-minute charge providing up to four hours of audio playback, while a full charge takes about one hour. In terms of design, the Mijia Smart Audio Glasses feature a slim frame with temples as thin as 5 mm and a lightweight build of approximately 27.6 grams. The piano steel hinges, developed over more than a year, are said to remain flexible even after 15,000 bends and can be detached to simplify lens replacement after extensive durability testing. The glasses also carry an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance, with a 105-degree water contact angle that enhances their hydrophobic performance. The product comes in three classic frame styles—Titanium, Pilot-Style, and Browline. The Titanium and Browline variants include blue-light protection, while the Pilot-Style model offers UV400 protection. The Mijia Smart Audio Glasses are set to launch alongside the Redmi Note 15 Series on January 22, 2026.
