Yunfeng Financial Group, Affiliated with Jack Ma, Acquires 10,000 Ethereum to Expand into the Web3 Ecosystem

Yunfeng Financial Group, a financial services company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and linked to Alibaba founder Jack Ma, has officially announced the purchase of 10,000 units of Ethereum (ETH) worth approximately US$44 million. This strategic move aims to strengthen its investment portfolio while expanding the company’s participation in the development of Web3 technology.

In its official statement, Yunfeng explained that the acquisition was fully financed through internal cash reserves and will be recorded as a strategic investment asset in the company’s financial statements. The decision is part of Yunfeng’s long-term strategy to integrate blockchain technology, real-world asset (RWA) tokenization, and to develop Web3- and AI-based insurance solutions.

The market reacted positively, with Yunfeng Financial shares surging around 9.55%, reflecting investor confidence in the company’s innovative approach.

More than just portfolio diversification, this investment underscores Yunfeng’s commitment to strengthening its position in the era of digital finance. Ethereum is widely regarded as one of the core infrastructures for the advancement of asset tokenization and rapidly growing decentralized financial services in the global market.
