Shell’s Indonesian fuel-station business has moved to Sefas Group through PT Isla Energy Indonesia, while the Shell brand is set to continue under a licensing arrangement. The transfer covers fuel stations, supply and distribution activities, and the Gresik fuel terminal. Shell’s lubricants business is excluded.

The network’s scale helps explain why the transition matters: the report cites roughly 200 stations, more than 160 of them company-owned. This is a change in the local business operator, not an announcement that the Shell brand will immediately disappear from the market.

For motorists, product availability and prices are the most immediate questions. As of November 1, Shell V-Power Diesel was listed at Rp25,420 per litre, while several gasoline grades—Super, V-Power and Nitro+—were reported unavailable. Stocks and prices can vary by date and location, so the cited figure should not be treated as a guaranteed price at every station.

A change of operator may affect customer experience, supply and network strategy. The report does not say that the transaction automatically changes every price or product’s availability. Ownership, the brand licence and the exclusion of lubricants are separate parts of the deal and should be read separately.
