BCA Ensures Customer Data Remains Secure
Hacker Bjorka has once again stirred the online world after PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) denied any customer data breach.
EVP of Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility at BCA, Hera F. Haryn, emphasized that there has been no data leak, as claimed on social media.
"In response to the circulating information on social media regarding the alleged dissemination of BCA customer data, we firmly state that this information is not true," Hera said.
BCA also reminded its customers to always be vigilant against various fraud schemes. The bank urged customers not to share their personal banking information, such as BCA ID, passwords, OTPs, and PINs, with anyone. Additionally, customers are advised to regularly change their PINs and passwords to enhance security.
Previously, Bjorka claimed to have successfully breached BCA’s customer data and warned of a major security violation. In his post, he stated that Indonesian banks were being targeted by ransomware hacker groups.
"There will be a surprise for banks in Indonesia. If they do not respond to this, then BCA will experience a major breach. Bank BSI and BCA are also targets of ransomware groups, and perhaps they will target all banks in Indonesia, but I don't know, just guessing, hahaha," Bjorka wrote.
This threat has drawn public attention, as Bjorka is known for leaking critical data from government institutions and private companies in Indonesia.
