DIGIVESTASI - The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) is committed to returning funds if participants in the selection of prospective civil servants (CPNS) experience failure to upload E-Meterai during registration. Deputy Minister of SOEs, Kartika Wirjoatmodjo, stated that if there are participants who are financially disadvantaged, his party will provide a refund. “I have not heard of this, but if there is a loss on the part of users who have paid but not executed, we will certainly return the funds. We will discuss with the President Director of Peruri,” Tiko told reporters at JCC Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday (5/9/2024).

Tiko said he would further discuss this issue with the President Director of Perum Peruri, Dwina Septiani Wijaya, to evaluate the constraints of e-Meterai services, including digital infrastructure and server capacity. He also emphasized the importance of increasing digital capacity in various SOEs, including Peruri, which is responsible for distributing e-Meterai. According to him, in the last few days there have been constraints on the server due to the surge in registration that occurred at the last moment.

“We are improving and opening the system so that registration can be done gradually, because yesterday many people registered at the last minute,” he explained.

In addition, Tiko said that his party will coordinate with the Ministry of Finance to consider extending the CPNS registration period. This step was taken after many applicants experienced problems in embedding e-Stamps, which led to failure in registration. “I think system-wise, it should be back to normal in about a month. We will evaluate and improve the infrastructure and capacity,” he added.

Previously, Perum Percetakan Uang Republik Indonesia (Peruri) had apologized for the system disruption that caused difficulties in purchasing and using e-Meterai. The disruption made Peruri's website inaccessible, hampering the public in the process of registering as Candidates for the 2024 State Civil Apparatus (CASN). “Currently, we are making our best efforts to restore services so that the e-Meterai website can function again,” wrote Peruri Indonesia's official Instagram account.
