Indonesia recorded Rp1,539.2 trillion in investment realization from January to September 2026, equal to 75.4% of its annual target, Bisnis.com reported on October 20. The investment was reported to have created 2,194,496 jobs.
Domestic investment (PMDN) reached Rp761.4 trillion, or 49.5% of the total, while foreign investment (PMA) stood at Rp777.8 trillion, or 50.5%. These are reported realization figures; effects on employment and income can vary by location, sector, and job quality.
Realization at 75.4% means part of the annual target remains to be achieved in the rest of the year. Any comparison with earlier periods should use the same time span and calculation method. A large investment value also does not mean benefits are immediately shared across all households.
Job seekers can look at the types of roles created, required skills, wages, and contract stability. For small businesses, investment activity may open supply-chain opportunities, but access depends on links to projects and the ability to meet supplier standards.
Readers can follow subsequent realization reports, sectoral and regional distribution, and jobs that actually materialize. These figures cover January–September and do not guarantee economic performance in the following months.
