Ministry of Trade Ensures Rp474.8 Billion Edible Oil Debt Will Be Resolved Soon

DIGIVESTASI - The Ministry of Trade (MoT) ensures that the disbursement of funds for the payment of government debt to cooking oil entrepreneurs amounting to Rp474.8 billion is being processed.

 

Director General of Domestic Trade of the Ministry of Trade, Isy Karim in the Public Dialogue agenda held in Jakarta, on Wednesday (27/3) yesterday said, in this case the Ministry of Trade, also wants the debt to be paid as soon as possible.

 

"We'll just wait for that, it's being processed," he said. He also confirmed that the value of the debt reached Rp 474.8 billion. This, he continued, was in accordance with an audit conducted by PT Succofindo.However, Isy did not reveal the exact date of payment of the cooking oil debt. He only ensured that the Ministry of Trade was trying to make the payment as soon as possible. 

 

"Anyway, as soon as possible," he said. Previously, based on data collected, the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan also opened his voice about the cooking oil debt. According to Luhut, the government's debt of Rp 474.8 billion to the businessman will be paid. Luhut said that the cooking oil rafaction problem will be resolved soon.

 

The government will immediately pay its obligations to this oil businessman. "It's crazy, two years. We only have a 20-minute meeting to settle the fate of people for two years," Luhut said in a video uploaded to his Instagram @luhut.pandjaitan, Monday (3/25). Luhut said, the focus of the government at this time is not to find who is wrong.

 

For him, the most important thing is to fulfill the rights of entrepreneurs who have been delayed for two years. He also ensured that the Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDPKS) would pay the Rp 474.8 billion debt to entrepreneurs.

 

"We are not looking for who is at fault, but I led a meeting of related agencies to decide that this should be paid, and today it has been decided that they can immediately receive their rights. And I just said to other officials, this kind of thing should not happen again in the future," Luhut explained.
