President Prabowo Summons Eight Ministers to Discuss Downstream Industry Policy

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has summoned eight ministers to the Presidential Palace in Jakarta for a limited cabinet meeting (ratas) focused on downstream industry policies on Tuesday (March 4, 2025).

According to Kompas.com's observations at the scene, several ministers began arriving at the palace complex to attend the meeting.

Among those present were Minister of Forestry Raja Juli Antoni, Minister of Investment Rosan Roeslani, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia, Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono, and Minister of Primary and Secondary Education (Mendikdasmen) Abdul Mu'ti.

"I was invited via WhatsApp for the limited meeting. Eight ministers were called. It seems to be about downstream industry development again," Raja Juli told reporters.

Following the meeting, President Prabowo is also scheduled to deliver a briefing on the discussion’s key points.

Raja Juli further explained that discussions on downstream industry development had already begun the previous day. However, today’s meeting aims to delve deeper into the topic.

"Minister Bahlil is also here, and there are many things to discuss," he added.
