DIGIVESTASI -Bank Indonesia (BI) reported a positive increase in economic liquidity or broad money circulation (M2) in November 2023. M2 in November 2023 was recorded at IDR8,573.6 trillion, growing 3.3% (year-on-year), relatively stable compared to the previous month's growth. 

BI Communications CEO Erwin Haryono explained that the development was due to the growth of narrow money circulation (M1) by 2.0% (year-on-year) and an increase in pre-sales by 4.0%..9% (compared to the same period last year). 

He said in a press release on Friday (December 22, 2023), "The development of M2 in November 2023 was mainly influenced by the development of lending and net terms with the Central Government (Pempus)". 

In addition, he explained, credit allocation in November 2023 increased by 9.7% (year-on-year), a monthly increase of 8.7% (year-on-year). Meanwhile, the government's net bills decreased by 15.0% (yoy), after declining by 11.7% (yoy) in October 2023. Overseas net assets increased by 0.3% (yoy), after increasing by 6,000.1% (yoy) last month.
