Business tycoon Anthoni Salim has injected capital amounting to IDR 40 billion into KFC, which operates under PT Fast Food Indonesia Tbk (FAST).

The capital injection was carried out through his company, PT Indoritel Makmur Internasional Tbk (DNET), via a non-preemptive rights issue, also known as a private placement.

According to a disclosure submitted to the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), this capital contribution was made on May 28, 2025.

Kiki Yanto Gunawan, Corporate Secretary of Indoritel Makmur Internasional, stated that FAST conducted the private placement by issuing up to 533,333,334 new shares, with an exercise price set at IDR 150 per share.

"On May 28, 2025, the company made a capital deposit of IDR 40 billion into its associate entity, FAST, as part of the private placement process (PMTHMETD)," he explained, as quoted on Friday, June 13, 2025.

He further added that Indoritel subscribed to 26,666,667 shares in this transaction.

"As a result, Indoritel’s ownership in FAST will increase by 1.67%, rising from 35.84% to 37.51%," he elaborated.

Kiki also emphasized that this capital injection does not materially affect the company’s operations, legal standing, financial condition, or business continuity.

In a prior disclosure, FAST’s management announced that they would issue 533,333,334 new common shares, which represent 11.79% of the company’s issued and paid-up capital post-placement.

The total funds raised from this corporate action will amount to IDR 80 billion, with IDR 52 billion allocated to inventory purchases and the payment of several short-term liabilities.

The remaining IDR 28 billion will be used for operational purposes, particularly in streamlining workforce expenses.

It is also worth noting that PT Gelael Pratama participated in the capital contribution with an amount equal to that of Indoritel Makmur Internasional.
