Indonesia and Qatar Launch Joint US$ 4 Billion Investment Fund

On April 15, 2025, Indonesia and Qatar officially launched a joint investment fund worth US$ 4 billion, a collaboration between Indonesia’s sovereign wealth fund Danantara Indonesia and the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA). Each country will contribute US$ 2 billion to support strategic development projects across Indonesia.

The fund will prioritize investment in key sectors including commodity processing, renewable energy, healthcare, technology, and digital infrastructure. This initiative aims to not only strengthen bilateral economic ties but also attract global investors and drive Indonesia’s sustainable economic transformation.
