Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, CEO of the Daya Anagata Nusantara Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara), confirmed plans for a meeting between his institution and Jordan’s King Abdullah II at the St. Regis Jakarta on Saturday (Nov 15, 2025). When contacted by Bisnis.com via text message, Rosan explained that King Abdullah II wished to gain a broader understanding of Danantara’s role within Indonesia’s investment ecosystem. “The King of Jordan wants to learn more about Danantara and explore potential cooperation in the future,” Rosan stated.

Even so, Rosan has not yet detailed whether the meeting will result in a memorandum of understanding (MoU) or a new investment agreement. Nonetheless, the discussion is seen as an early step to open strategic collaboration opportunities between Indonesia and Jordan, especially following the series of official events during King Abdullah II’s state visit and his bilateral meeting with President Prabowo Subianto at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta. The meeting at the St. Regis, scheduled for 9:30 a.m. local time, will be held behind closed doors and focus on assessing potential sectors for long-term investment cooperation.

Earlier, Indonesia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sugiono, provided clarification regarding the next agenda items for the state visit of Jordan’s King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein. His remarks came after accompanying President Prabowo Subianto during the conferral of the honorary decoration The Bejeweled Grand Cordon of Al-Nahda (Order of the Renaissance), which was personally awarded by King Abdullah II at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, on Friday (Nov 14, 2025).

When asked about the activities scheduled for the following day, Sugiono emphasized that the King’s primary agenda on Saturday would be meeting with Danantara to discuss potential economic cooperation. “The President, I believe, will not be joining. Because after that, he will directly accompany the King to the airport,” Sugiono said, confirming that Prabowo would not participate in the meeting.
