On this occasion, Jokowi said that in the food sector, ASEAN and Japan must strengthen cooperation to increase productivity and sustainability through the development of fertilizer supply technology and harmonization of Karma agricultural product standards. 

Meanwhile, in the energy sector, Mr. Jokowi also said that Japan plays an important role in helping ASEAN accelerate the energy transition process, including the establishment of the Asian Zero Emissions Center (AZEC) announced by Japanese Prime Minister Fumio. "ASEAN-Japan cooperation can also aim to encourage investment and transfer of low-carbon technologies, including the development of the ASEAN eco-super network and the use of carbon economy." ).

In addition, an equally important priority is the acceleration of digital transformation. According to data, the potential of the ASEAN digital economy is enormous. It is estimated that it could reach USD 1 trillion by 2030 and accumulate with the launch of the ASEAN Digital Economy (DEFA) to reach USD 2 trillion. 

He emphasized: "Therefore, cooperation with Japan to improve and retrain human resources as well as digital connection infrastructure should be a top priority." Not only that, Jokowi also said that integrating MSMEs into the digital ecosystem is also important to expand market access and increase MSME resilience. Jokowi said the ASEAN-Japan Center can help facilitate this transition.
