DIGIVESTASI - PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) together with the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) strengthened their commitment in ensuring the distribution of subsidized fuel oil (BBM) in the transportation sector runs according to the right allocation.
This step was realized through a working visit and field verification conducted by BPH Migas in ASDP's operational area in Surabaya, East Java, last weekend.
ASDP's Director of Engineering and Facilities, Kusnadi C. Wijaya, emphasized that the visit was important in an effort to monitor the use of subsidized fuel in sea transportation. “We appreciate the visit of BPH Migas which helps monitor the realization of subsidized fuel use in ASDP. We received many valuable inputs to improve the fuel distribution system in the future,” said Kusnadi, as quoted from a press release, Monday (23/9/2024).
This visit is also part of BPH Migas' duty to ensure that the distribution of subsidized fuel nationally is right on target, especially for the sea transportation sector, such as ships operated by ASDP.
ASDP itself operates six ships in Surabaya, including KMP Tongkol, KMP Drajat P, KMP Munggiyango, KMP Giliiyang, KMP Siginjai, and KMP Kalibodri.
Head of BPH Migas, Erika Retnowati, emphasized that this supervision aims to improve accuracy in the distribution of subsidized fuel and ensure its utilization according to the rules. “We verify the entire process, from ordering to distributing subsidized fuel to ASDP vessels. The results of this verification will be the basis for the preparation of the 2025 subsidized fuel quota,” Erika explained.
During the visit to Kamal Port in Bangkalan and Tanjung Perak Port in Surabaya, BPH Migas Committee member Abdul Halim emphasized the importance of direct supervision in the field to ensure that subsidized fuel is used according to the allocated volume. “This supervision ensures that the distribution of subsidized fuel is right on target, volume, and utilization,” Halim said.
The visit was also attended by representatives of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga and ASDP VP Operations. Collaboration between these parties is expected to increase efficiency and transparency in the subsidized fuel distribution system.
ASDP also continues to innovate to improve service quality, including the implementation of a more transparent fuel distribution system supported by digital technology. In addition, ASDP is committed to implementing strict environmental standards to preserve the maritime ecosystem.
