BTN to Hold AGM on March 26, 2025, Dividend Announcement in Focus

PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk. (BBTN) is set to hold its Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. One of the key agendas anticipated by shareholders is the announcement of the 2024 fiscal year cash dividend distribution.

The AGM will take place at BTN Tower, Central Jakarta, at 2:00 PM WIB. BTN President Director Nixon L.P. Napitupulu estimated that the dividend payout ratio would be in the range of 20%-25% of total net profit, considering the bank’s capital adequacy.

"If we see the need to increase the dividend payout ratio due to specific considerations, we will discuss it with the government. However, as a guideline, it will most likely be around 20%-25%," he stated during a public expose on Tuesday (August 27, 2024).

BTN’s Financial Performance and Dividend Distribution Trend

In 2024, BTN recorded a net profit of Rp3 trillion, marking a 14.1% decline from Rp3.5 trillion in the previous year. For the 2023 fiscal year, BTN distributed Rp700.19 billion in cash dividends, equivalent to Rp49.89 per share, reflecting a 20% dividend payout ratio from its net profit.

In the 2022 fiscal year, BTN declared a dividend of Rp43.39 per share or approximately Rp609 billion, maintaining the same 20% payout ratio from its Rp3.04 trillion net profit. Meanwhile, for the 2021 fiscal year, BTN distributed Rp237.62 billion in cash dividends or Rp22.43 per share, representing 10% of its Rp2.37 trillion net profit.

For the 2020 fiscal year, BTN decided not to distribute dividends. At the time, the bank’s AGM approved allocating the entire Rp1.6 trillion net profit as reserves to strengthen its capital structure.
