DIGIVESTASI - The Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) managed to close at 7,700 at the end of last week, recording a 0.67% increase to 7,721.84. This increase brought the JCI to its highest position in history. Throughout the week, the JCI increased by 0.67%, and if seen since the beginning of the year, the index has strengthened 6.17%.

The transaction value of the JCI at the end of last week reached around Rp 53.47 trillion, with a transaction volume of 109 billion shares that were transacted 5.6 million times.

Sectorally, the financial sector led the gains with a 4.26% increase, which helped support the JCI. The property sector also experienced a significant increase of 2.11%.

On the other hand, foreign investors recorded massive purchases with a total value of IDR 13.45 trillion across all markets. Of this amount, IDR 3.20 trillion was recorded in the regular market, and IDR 10.24 trillion in the negotiation and cash markets.

Shares of PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) were the most bought by foreigners with a net buy value of Rp 834.3 billion, followed by PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) with Rp 498.9 billion and PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN) with Rp 315.5 billion.
