IHSG Drops 1.81% in a Week, Market Cap Shrinks to Rp 11,235 T

IHSG Drops 1.81% in a Week, Market Capitalization Declines

The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) weakened throughout the trading week from March 10-14, 2025. The index declined 1.81%, closing at 6,515.631 from 6,636.000 in the previous week.

 

"The IHSG recorded a 1.81% change, reaching 6,515.631 from 6,636.000 last week," said Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) Corporate Secretary, Eko Susanto, in a written statement on Saturday (March 15).

 

Eko further explained that the stock market capitalization dropped by 1.87%, falling from Rp 11,450 trillion to Rp 11,235 trillion.

 

Meanwhile, the average daily trading value saw a significant decline of 28.43%, decreasing from Rp 13.14 trillion to Rp 9.40 trillion.

In terms of trading activity, the average daily transaction frequency slightly declined by 1.48%, from 1.10 million transactions to 1.09 million transactions. Similarly, the average daily trading volume fell by 12.94%, from 19.88 billion shares to 17.31 billion shares.

 

Foreign Investors Record Net Sell of Rp 1.77 Trillion in a Week

From the foreign investor perspective, trading on Friday (March 14) recorded a net sell of Rp 1.77 trillion. Meanwhile, for the entire 2025, foreign investors have posted a total net sell of Rp 26.04 trillion.

 

At the beginning of the week, the IDX trading session was opened with the initial listing of PT Sinar Terang Mandiri Tbk (MINE) and PT Jantra Grupo Indonesia Tbk (KAQI). Additionally, the IDX officially launched the Repurchase Agreement (Repo) transaction feature on the Alternative Market Organizer System (SPPA) to enhance efficiency in bond and money market trading.

 

Bond and Sukuk Issuances Reach Rp 27.92 Trillion in 2025

On Friday (March 14), the IDX recorded the issuance of CIMB Niaga Auto Finance's Sustainable Sukuk Wakalah Bi Al-Istitsmar I Phase II 2025 worth Rp 1.6 billion. With this listing, the total bond and sukuk issuances for 2025 reached 23 issuances from 16 issuers, amounting to Rp 27.92 trillion.

 

Overall, the IDX has recorded 602 bond and sukuk issuances with an outstanding value of Rp 483.20 trillion and USD 105.75 million, issued by 134 issuers.

 

Additionally, 192 series of Government Securities (SBN) are listed on the IDX, with a nominal value of Rp 6,190.33 trillion and USD 502.10 million. Meanwhile, the IDX also lists 8 issuances of Asset-Backed Securities (EBA) worth Rp 2.41 trillion.
