IHSG Closes Strong, Achieves Best Weekly Performance in Asia-Pacific

Over the past weekend, Indonesia’s benchmark stock index, the IHSG, ended trading in positive territory. On Friday (April 25, 2025), the IHSG closed higher at 6,678.91.

This performance led the IHSG to post a weekly gain of 3.74%, making it the best-performing index across the Asia-Pacific region.

Throughout the week, the IHSG experienced a decline on only one trading day, while the other four sessions saw upward movement. Its impressive performance outshined Japan’s Nikkei 225, which rose 2.81%, and Singapore’s Straits Times Index, which climbed 2.78%.

At the same time, foreign investors recorded a net buying value of IDR 173 billion across all markets, consisting of IDR 90.29 billion on the regular market and IDR 82.71 billion on the negotiation and cash markets.

PT Aneka Tambang Tbk. (ANTM) topped the list for the highest foreign net buy with IDR 93.2 billion, followed by PT Bank Central Asia Tbk. (BBCA) at IDR 80.83 billion, and PT Astra International Tbk. (ASII) at IDR 75.25 billion.
