DIGIVESTASI - Prajogo Pangestu Increases Shareholding in Barito Renewables Energy, Prajogo Pangestu, the richest entrepreneur in Indonesia according to Forbes, has increased his shareholding in PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN). On December 5, 2024, he bought 1.1 million BREN shares at a price of IDR 7,470 per share, with a total transaction value of IDR 8.22 billion.  

“This purchase was made for personal investment purposes,” said BREN Director and Corporate Secretary Merly in an official statement released on Tuesday (10/12/2024).  

With the transaction, Prajogo now directly owns 130,889,700 BREN shares, or around 0.09783 percent of the company's total shares.  

Prajogo also indirectly controls BREN through PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT), which holds 64.66 percent of BREN shares. Meanwhile, 23.6 percent of BREN shares are registered in the name of DBS Bank Ltd SG S/A Green Era Energy Pte Ltd.  

In trading on Tuesday (9/12/2024), BREN's share price was recorded to have weakened 2.06 percent to IDR 8,325 per share. However, in the past week, BREN shares still showed a significant increase of 22.88 percent.
