DIGIVESTASI - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) and Acting Head of the Authority for the Capital City of the Archipelago (IKN), Basuki Hadimuljono, revealed that investments worth Rp 58.4 trillion have flowed into the IKN in East Kalimantan. The value was recorded from eight groundbreaking ceremonies that have been carried out over the past year.

“The seventh groundbreaking has reached Rp 56 trillion. After the eighth, the total will be Rp 58.4 trillion,” Basuki said in the IKN area on Sunday (6/10/2024).

Basuki also said that the plan to carry out the next groundbreaking will take place next week, although the schedule has not been fully finalized.

When asked about the projects and investment values that will be involved, Basuki did not provide further details. He only confirmed that President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will again be present at the groundbreaking ceremony of the private company.

“Sorry, the plan is to have another groundbreaking, but it is still waiting for the President's visit schedule,” he said.

Basuki also added that on October 10 or 11, 2024, President Jokowi is scheduled to inaugurate the PSSI Training Center (TC) at IKN. On the sidelines of the inauguration event, it is likely that the groundbreaking of several private projects will be carried out again which are currently still in the finalization stage.

“The President is scheduled to come for the inauguration of TC PSSI, and on the sidelines, maybe we will do some more groundbreaking, but it is still being decided which projects are ready,” concluded Basuki.
