DIGIVESTASI - Small Android phones are increasingly rare in the market, along with the trend of manufacturers focusing on releasing large-screen devices to support larger battery capacity. However, a new breakthrough will come from one of the Chinese manufacturers, which plans to launch a small flagship phone next month.

Vivo executives, through a Weibo account, confirmed that the Vivo X200 Pro Mini is coming soon and is said to rival the iPhone 16 Pro.

“This is a Pro phone that is also mini. It is very small in size, both in terms of width, length, and thickness, but very powerful. The battery is even bigger than the [iPhone] Pro Max, with a very luxurious advanced camera,” said Vivo's account named Han Boxiao, quoted from Android Authority, Thursday (9/26/2024).

Han also added that making Pro Max phones is common, but this is the first time they have released a Pro Mini version.

A number of leaked information circulating on the internet suggests that the Vivo X200 Pro Mini will have a design similar to the iPhone 16 Pro. In addition, the phone is predicted to have a larger battery than the iPhone Pro Max, where the iPhone 15 Pro Max has a 4,441 mAh battery and the iPhone 16 Pro Max 4,685 mAh.

Vivo is one of the brands that follow the trend of 6.3-inch screen size which is also applied to several other Android phones, such as Google Pixel 8, Xiaomi 13, and Samsung Galaxy S.

Digital Chat Station tipster also revealed that the X200 Pro Mini will be equipped with a 50MP camera, wired and wireless fast charging support, and a large battery capacity.
