DIGIVESTASI - Russia Ready to Expand Cooperation with ASEAN in Nuclear Energy Sector. Russia has expressed its readiness to broaden cooperation with ASEAN in the development of atomic energy, including the construction of power plants and the transfer of nuclear technology for peaceful purposes, said Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev on Tuesday. Medvedev emphasized the commitment of Russian companies not only to meet hydrocarbon supply obligations, which are currently crucial for many countries, but also to manage investments and advanced technology projects, particularly in the nuclear energy sector.

"Our company Rosatom is very interested in expanding cooperation with ASEAN countries in the construction of nuclear power plants and the necessary technology transfer to our partners," Medvedev stated during a round table discussion.

He added that Russia has always met the needs of its partners, thereby contributing to their access to this vital energy source. The round table meeting was part of the International Inter-Party Forum "Majority of the World for a Multipolar World" held in Vladivostok, Far Eastern Russia.
