DIGIVESTASI - Apple CEO Tim Cook will meet with President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) today (April 17, 2024) at Merdeka Palace, Jakarta. Minister of Communication and Information Technology Budi Aliye Setiadi said the meeting will be held at 09.30 WIB. Meanwhile, Budi plans to accompany the Apple boss when visiting Jokowi.

It is planned that Apple CEO Tim Cook will be received by President Jokowi at the Merdeka Palace at 09.30 WIB, Budi said. Tim Cook and Jokowi are said to be scheduled to discuss Apple's investment plan in Indonesia. When asked about the investment in question, Budi did not provide information. "Yes, there will be no surprises. What is certain is that all major companies in America and all countries in the world. Just wait until tomorrow, there must be a surprise," he said.

Based on information gathered by detikINET, Tim Cook's arrival in Indonesia is in the context of opening the 4th Apple Developer Academy in Bali. Previously Apple Developer Academy operated in Tangerang, Batam and Surabaya. 
The first Apple Developer Academy was opened in Brazil. This HR talent development program has expanded to more locations around the world, including South Korea, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Italy, and the United States.

Apple Developer Academy is a program developed directly by Apple. It aims to improve the skills of people who have a professional interest in programming and digitization. 

Apple CEO Tim Cook is visiting Vietnam before coming to Indonesia on April 17. He will arrive in Hanoi, Vietnam on Monday (April 15) and will stay for two days.

Vietnam is considered one of Apple's product assembly centers. According to local Vietnamese media, Cook will meet with students and content creators during his visit to Vietnam. Cook will also meet with users of Apple products.
