DIGIVESTASI - The government, through the Ministry of Finance (MoF), has allocated IDR 18.9 trillion for the development of the archipelago's National Capital City (IKN) until the end of August 2024. Deputy Minister of Finance I, Suahasil Nazara, revealed this figure during the APBN Kita Press Conference at the Ministry of Finance Office, Central Jakarta, on Monday (23/9/2024). “The realization of the IKN budget in 2024 has reached Rp18.9 trillion from the ceiling of Rp44 trillion, or equivalent to 43.1%,” Suahasil said.

He explained that the state budget allocation for IKN had started in 2022 with a value of Rp5.5 trillion, and in 2023 the realization reached Rp27 trillion. This year, the budget is planned to jump to IDR44 trillion. Although the budget absorption has only reached less than half, Suahasil is optimistic that this figure will increase towards the end of the year. “We continue to monitor the development of projects, especially physical infrastructure development. After the handover of work, budget absorption is expected to increase significantly,” he explained.

Furthermore, Suahasil detailed that the budget realization for the infrastructure cluster reached Rp16.2 trillion, including the construction of toll roads, bridges, reservoirs, ministerial office areas, and flats for ASN and Hankam. Meanwhile, the non-infrastructure cluster spent Rp2.7 trillion, which was used for the promotion and socialization of IKN, police security support, and planning and evaluation. Overall, when summed up with the 2022 and 2023 allocations and the 2024 ceiling, the total budget for IKN reaches around IDR 76.5 trillion.
