DIGIVESTASI - Ministry of Agriculture Launches Millennial Farmer Program with a Salary of IDR 10 Million per Month, The Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) has introduced the Millennial Farmer Program, providing an opportunity for young people to engage in the agricultural sector with a monthly salary of IDR 10 million. This initiative aims to encourage the regeneration of farmers in Indonesia while serving as a form of government appreciation.

Minister of Agriculture, Amran Sulaiman, explained that the salary for millennial farmers is significantly higher than the average wage of workers in Indonesia. "If they work as millennial farmers, they can earn a minimum of IDR 10 million per month," said Amran. In comparison, the average salary of employees in Indonesia ranges from IDR 2 million to IDR 3 million per month, he added.

The program aims to attract young people to enter the agricultural sector by leveraging modern technology and innovation. The government is fully committed to providing these salaries to advance the agricultural sector and change the perception that farming is not a promising profession.

Additionally, the program is expected to encourage the contribution of young generations to achieving national food security. The Millennial Farmer Program targets individuals aged 19 to 39 who are interested and skilled in agriculture. So far, 20,000 participants have registered for the program.

Amran emphasized that to attract the younger generation, farming must be made more profitable. "With the demographic bonus we have, our abundant natural resources can be well-managed through the mastery of technology that we already possess," he stated.

Minister Amran also hopes that millennial farmers can boost their productivity by using modern technologies such as tractors and drones.

Requirements to Register for the Millennial Farmer Program
Those interested in joining the program must meet the following requirements:
1. Indonesian Citizen (WNI)
2. Aged 19-39 years
3. Those under 19 can apply if they are graduates of vocational schools majoring in agriculture, fisheries, or forestry
4. Have an interest in agricultural entrepreneurship
5. Reside in designated areas
6. Not under contract with another employer

To register, participants can follow these steps:

2. Select "Pelatihan Petani Milenial" (Millennial Farmer Training)
3. Enter your NIK and complete personal data
4. Upload a 4x6 passport-sized photo with a maximum resolution of 700 KB
5. Click "Register" to complete the registration.

This program is expected to open new opportunities for young people to actively participate in the agricultural sector and support Indonesia's food security.
