Credit Bureau Indonesia (CBI) has introduced four credit-intelligence services to help financial institutions assess repayment capacity, manage risk, and widen financing for applicants with limited formal income documentation. The products were launched at the CBI Connect 2026 forum in Jakarta.

The issue affects informal workers who may not have conventional proof of income. Data from Indonesia's statistics agency, BPS, cited by Bisnis.com show that 59.42% of workers were in the informal sector in 2026. Bank Indonesia's Consumer Survey, meanwhile, put the share of income used for debt installments at 10% in August 2026. These figures provide context for lenders assessing applicants' income and financial obligations.

CBI's four products have separate functions. Income Predictor combines data to estimate monthly income, particularly for applicants without formal income documents. The Enhanced Bureau Alternative Score (EBAS) combines credit-bureau information with behavioral insights to help assess borrowers with limited credit histories, or thin-file borrowers.

Skip Tracing provides contact and reachability information so financial institutions and collection teams can locate and contact debtors. Agent Polar uses artificial intelligence to analyze and benchmark credit-portfolio performance against industry trends, including through reports and potential-risk alerts.

Bayu Husodo of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) said standardized credit information can improve eligibility assessments, support earlier risk identification, and broaden financing for micro, small, and medium enterprises. OJK also welcomed CBI's SME Bureau initiative to build more standardized and transparent SME profiles.

CBI President Director Anton K. Adiwibowo said broader data is needed to support credit decisions and financial inclusion. CBI says its solutions aim to widen access opportunities for 137 million prospective borrowers, particularly those limited by credit history or income documents, and support more than 2,000 financial-services institutions. These figures are company targets.
