Bank Mandiri (BMRI) told the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) that its credit facility for PT Jhonlin Baratama, part of Jhonlin Group, has a Rp40 trillion limit. Rp17 trillion has been drawn and used. Bank Mandiri Group Corporate Secretary Adhika Vista said the facility supports capital expenditure and financing needs of Jhonlin and its group businesses in coal and supporting industries, rather than share trading.
The explanation also addressed market attention on shares of Jhonlin-affiliated issuers Jhonlin Agro Raya (JARR) and Pradiksi Gunatama (PGUN) included in the collateral structure. Bank Mandiri said the shares serve as a secondary repayment source, or a second way out, rather than the primary source of repayment. It said asset liens follow applicable rules and the bank's risk-management policies.
Bank Mandiri said total collateral exceeds the credit facility. Using the lowest intraday prices of JARR and PGUN shares over the previous month as a conservative basis, the collateral coverage ratio was reported at 150%. Non-share assets are also pledged and were assessed by an independent public appraisal firm. The bank said the legal security of collateral was established through a notary and relevant authorities.
To assess repayment capacity, the bank considered projected operating cash flows from Jhonlin's existing coal operations. Management also conducted stress tests, analyzing sensitivity to scenarios involving coal-price changes and production volumes for the borrower and its group businesses.
According to Bank Mandiri, the financing documents include a sinking fund mechanism to help ensure principal and interest payments. The bank also monitors business-activity reports regularly. This article summarizes Bank Mandiri's explanation as reported by Bisnis.com on October 27, 2026.
