PTBA's coal production rises to 60 million tons by 2026, permit obtained

DIGIVESTASI - PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA), a member of the MIND ID Mining SOE Holding, announced that the government has approved PTBA's work plan and budget (RKAB) submission until 2026. PTBA Chairman and Director Arsal Ismail announced that PTBA's RKAB had been approved by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) for three years: 2024, 2025, and 2026. 

 

The coal production target in 2026 increases from the current 41 million tons to 60 million tons per year. 
“The RKAB was (approved) for three years, namely 2024, 2025, and 2026,” Arsal said when met after PTBA's Annual General Meeting (AGMS) in Jakarta, Wednesday (5/8/2024). 

 

In detail, Arsal said that the company's approved coal production in 2024 was 41 million tons. In 2025, the amount will be 50 million tons. Around 60 million tons of coal production will then be approved in 2026.

If the RKAB, in 2025 it will be around 50 million (tons) and in 2026 it will increase again to almost 60 million tons.“ aside,” he explained. While announcing PTBA's general meeting, Arsal said it would expand its market to several consumers and traders in the Asian region, including Vietnam, Cambodia, China, India and Japan. 

 

“These countries are developing (coal markets),” he said. 
In 2023, the company plans to export 15.6 million tons of coal abroad and sell 21.4 million tons in the domestic market. 

 

In 2023, PTBA recorded a net profit of Rp 6.1 trillion and revenue of Rp 38.5 trillion. 
PTBA's General Meeting today approved the distribution of dividends equivalent to 75% of net profit for the fiscal year 2023 or Rp4.58 trillion. Therefore, investors will receive a dividend of Rp 397.51 per share. 

 

It was agreed that as much as 25% of the net profit for the fiscal year 2023 or around Rp 1.53 trillion will be retained as retained earnings.
