Foreign Investors Net Buy IDR 3 Trillion, But BBCA Dumped with IDR 1.24 Trillion Sell-off!

Foreign capital inflows once again surged into the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). During the trading week of September 15–19, 2025, foreign investors recorded a net buy of Rp 3.03 trillion. However, despite the strong buying activity, several large-cap stocks were actually the target of net selling.

 

The biggest hit came from the shares of major bank PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA). Exchange data showed that foreign investors booked a net sell of Rp 1.24 trillion on BBCA shares.

 

As a result, BBCA’s stock price corrected by 2.5% throughout last week, closing at the level of 7,800. J.P. Morgan Securities Indonesia was noted as the broker with the largest sales value, reaching Rp 724.8 billion with an average price of Rp 7,811 per share.

 

Two other major bank stocks also became targets of foreign selling. PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) recorded a net sell of Rp 1.06 trillion, while PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI) posted a net sell of Rp 327.9 billion.

  5. PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk (AMRT): Rp 181.1 billion

  6. PT Medikaloka Hermina Tbk (HEAL): Rp 163.6 billion

  7. PT Adaro Energy Indonesia Tbk (ADRO): Rp 107.5 billion

  8. PT Archi Indonesia Tbk (ARCI): Rp 71.3 billion

  9. PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk (UNVR): Rp 61 billion

  10. PT Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper Tbk (INKP): Rp 53.6 billion

Meanwhile, the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) rose by 2.51% or 197.06 points during the same week, closing at the level of 8,051.12. Throughout the period of September 15–19, 2025, the index moved within the range of 7,889.19 to 8,068.01.

 

The average daily transaction value reached Rp 28.55 trillion, up 47.01% compared to the previous week. A total of 42 billion shares changed hands in 2.13 million transactions.

 

Overall, 460 stocks recorded gains, 344 stocks declined, and 152 stocks remained unchanged. Out of the total, 345 stocks rose by more than 2%.
