Google Registry recently introduced a Top-Level Domain (TLD) called .ing (dot ing). The .ing domain is intriguing because many English words end with "ing," reflecting ongoing activities.
According to Christina Yeh, a member of the Google Registry team, "This top-level domain can be used for various purposes as you desire," as quoted by The Verge.
Google believes that the .ing domain will receive many requests, such as think.ing (meaning thinking), buy.ing, go.ing, draw.ing, and more.
On domain registration and web hosting sites like GoDaddy in the United States, these domains are being sold at relatively high prices.
For example, think.ing is sold for $38,999.99 USD per year, while buy.ing is sold for $129,999.99 USD per year.
Domain registration for .ing will be open to the public starting on December 5, 2023, but Google has allowed for early or priority registration since the domain's launch.
Customers can already register .ing domains through domain providers like GoDaddy, MrDomain, 101domain, and others.
They can also check the availability of .ing domains they desire through the get.ing website before purchasing them from domain providers.
For detailed .ing domain pricing, you can check it on the get.ing website or through the websites of domain registration companies mentioned above.
Furthermore, Google has revealed that some leading companies like Canva and Adobe are already using .ing domains.
Canva, as a design application provider, uses .ing domains for sites like design.ing and draw.ing, where users are directed to Canva's website to start creating designs or drawing content.
Meanwhile, Adobe uses .ing domains for edit.ing and signing. In addition to the .ing domain, Google Registry has also introduced a new domain, .meme. Early registration for .meme domains has been available since November 28, 2023, and these domains will be available to the general public starting on December 5.
